Is it free to search and contact writers?
Yes. Searching the directory and sending contact messages are both free. There are no fees for buyers.
How do I know writers are who they say they are?
Profiles marked 'Claimed by writer' belong to a writer who took over the profile and confirmed their email. We do not yet review bylines, so check a writer's published work, linked from their profile, before you commission.
What's the difference between contacting a writer directly and posting a listing?
Direct contact is one-to-one — you've found someone specific and want to reach out. A listing is one-to-many — you post the brief and writers with relevant experience apply.
What kinds of travel content can I commission?
